Read the full statement;
The attention of the Executive Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area Hon Chief Eugene Inoaghan has been drawn to a wrong information being spread by some online medium about restrictions of movement from 7pm.
I want to say categorically that there is no where such decision was taken and as such, you should disregard any information about the said 7pm curfew as it did not emanates from the office of working Chairman of Sapele LGA.
If there is need to reach out to the good people of Sapele about the outcome of yesterday’s security meeting with the Commissioner of Police, or any other special announcement, it will be done through the office of the chief Press Secretary to the Council boss.
I want to use this means to advise online media platforms to desist from spreading unverified report that is capable of causing public panicking.
Sapele residents are by this release encouraged to go about their normal business as efforts are being made for the safety of all.
God bless Sapele!
Victor Abugo
