Ward to Ward campaigns in Okpe Local Government Area came to a climax on Friday at Ward three in Oha near Osubi, the political enclave of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, JP, the Ukodo of Okpe Kingdom.
The ambiance, cultural displays and traditional ballads of the ancient Okpe Kingdom was well felt, impactful and enjoyed by party faithfuls and supporters who came in droves to reaffirm their unflinching support for PDP and her candidates, more particularly for their excessive local content incoming governor, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, fondly referred to by legion of supporters as a leader with superlative street credibility.
There was a live gospel band at Ward three rally, and the artiste did justice to popular gospel tunes which rocked Oha-Osubi airwaves with heavy dose of anointing from person to person as Delta governorship candidate and other candidates of the party joined the groovy mammoth crowd to worship and praise God, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
The huge crowd got loosed when the special campaign hit song “AFTER OKOWA NAH SHERIFF” reenergized the already charged atmosphere as Boys, girls, young and old sang, danced, expressed their genuine and irrevocable love and support for their vibrant, capable, competent, very friendly and humble incoming governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
Decampees from the moribund and failed propaganda party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, were joyfully received by the Chairman of Ward 3. He urged them to feel at home, saying that in PDP, there are no new and old members; a member is a member anytime, any day.
Governorship candidate of PDP, Rt Hon Oborevwori, who is also the Ward three campaign Chief host, said “home is home. Home is the best.” You can practically feel the undiluted joy on his face, glowing with deep affection for the people.
He expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty for the uncommon grace and mercies showered on him and his family, especially for anointing him in the midst of other eminently qualified Deltans from Delta Central Senatorial District, to serve the state as governor from May 29,2023.
Oborevwori also expressed special appreciation to the state governor and PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, for considering him worthy and capable of stepping into his big shoes next year, saying that Okowa is a man of integrity, a prudent manager of state resources and a good leader who believe strongly in the universal principles of equity, justice and fairness, which he exhibited by ensuring that Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency got the Delta Central Senatorial District governorship slot for 2023.
He urged all eligible voters in Delta State and across the country, to partner with PDP to Reset Nigeria and restore her lost glory by voting for PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa in the forthcoming presidential election next year.
In the same vein, Oborevwori appealed to the electorates in Delta State, more particularly in Okpe LGA to vote Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor, Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon Barr Evelyn Oboro for House of Representatives and Okakuro James Augoye for House of Assembly.
Highly elated State party chairman, Okakuro Barr Kingsley Esiso, said life has become extremely unbearable because of the bad governance and failed promises of APC national government under the firm grip and leadership of President Mohmmadu Buhari and Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pointing out that Buhari and Tinubu disappointed Nigerians by betraying their trust.
He noted that Nigeria robust economy inherited by APC and Buhari in 2015 has been mismanaged and further worsened by multifaceted unwarranted foreign loans and debts, pointing out that the only solution to Nigeria’s collapsed economy was to vote PDP, Atiku-Okowa for President and all candidates of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The Okpe LGA rally was attended by party leaders, some members of House of Reps, Data State House of Assembly, top government functionaries and political appointees which includes; former military Governor of Abia State, AVM Frank Ajobena, CON, (Rtd), Prof Sam Oyovbaire, Prof Hope Eghagha, Hon Chief Efe Afe, Hon Napoleon Gbinije, Chief Mrs Rose Amioku, Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Chief Ferguson Onwo, Hon Chief Felix Anirah, Rt Hon Festus Ovie Agas, Chief John Oguma, Chief John Nani, Rev Fr Chris Ekabo, South-South PDP Woman Leader, Chief Mrs Tessy Torru, Honourable Commissioners for Primary and Secondary Education, Chief Sunday Onoriode and Mrs Rose Ezewu, Assistant Director, Media and Publicity of Delta PDP Campaign Council Management Committee, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, and others too numerous to mention here.
