The National Chairman DC-23 and Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Delta Central Senatorial District,Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP has congratulated the Speaker of the State House of Assembly,Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori over the favourable Supreme Court verdict, affirming him as the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State.
Chief Amori in a statement he personally signed, described the verdict as a case of “No Winner,No Vanquished” adding that,both Olorogun Sheriff Oborevwori and Olorogun David Edevbie should come together and form a strong force ahead of the general election.
“I want to congratulate our Honourable Speaker,Rt. Hon. (Chief) Sheriff Oborevwori over the favourable Supreme Court verdict affirming him as the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State.
The judgement has ended every litigations against his emergence as Candidate of the PDP from the last Gubernatorial Primary Election in Delta State.
We all fought as one family and today,we are also rejoicing together as the verdict portends a case of No Winner, No Vanquished but a victory for democracy,as it is a win win situation for everyone of us in Urhobo Nation.
I want to specially appreciate and also congratulate our Governor,and Vice Presidential Candidate,His Excellency Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for standing behind Urhobo Nation in ensuring his successor comes from Delta Central Senatorial District.
He is truly a patriot and perfect gentleman who strongly believe in equity, fairness and justice in the affairs of the state.
I also Congratulate Olorogun David Edevbie and his team,for conducting themselves peacefully in the last few months of the litigations but it is time to come together as one big family to complete the task of Urhobo Nation producing the next Governor of the state under the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
Finally,I want to appeal to every Urhobo sons and daughters to support the candidacy of Chief Sheriff Oborevwori,as we all work together to deliver dividends of democracy to Deltans after swearing in as Governor of Delta State next year.
