The Directorate of Politics and Governance [DPG] visited the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Delta Central Senatorial District, Sen(Chief) Ighoyota AmoriJP and Chief Chris Onogba (Candidate PDP, Ethiope West State Constituency) at Mosogar, Ethiope West LGA, Delta State.
According to the leadership of the group, Christians have remained dormant politically for too long, DPG is not a pressure group but an institution, which is broad, ranging from church level to province.It was formerly directorate of Politics before it was changed to directorate of Politics and Good Governance. They have decorated all Kings in our lands.
It’s a National body, and they were instructed to join dorminant parties in their Environ, so in Ethiope West and Delta State, PDP remained their party.Their membership comprises of all Churches, PFN, Catholic etc.
The leadership of the group includes: Hon(Rev) Benjamin Ejimidini, Bishop Mantus, POP province 3, Wilson Okoro, Rev(Mrs) Juliana Etaoghene, Mr Douglas, Pst Stephen, Province 4, Bishop Aflred, Bishop Okuava, Bishop German Efe, Pst Sylvester Oturu, SLP Ethiope West LGA, Pst Stella Okakire, Rev London Onoriode, Pst Collins Odiete, Apst Wilson Asha, Rev(Amb) Kelgba, Kenny Oke, Media, Pst Cletus Omamugho, Sapele.
The Incoming Senator Representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori in his response appreciated the group.
“I want to thank you for finding me worthy of this visit and coming to identify with me,and support my aspiration and the party. We are all Christians and not Pagan irrespective of our various calling.We “ll all win, Amori noted.
In the same way, the Incoming DTHA member, representing Ethiope West Constituency, Chief Chris Onogba expressed gratitudes to DPG members,while he encouraged them to always participate and get involved in politics.He noted that he has been in politics for over decades when he’s still involved in the heavenly business, adding that there’s nothing strange in politics that doesn’t happen in the Church.
The group promised to work and vote for Onogba,Amori and all other PDP Candidates in the forth coming general election.They also notified them,that will come soonest to decorate them.
