Mosogar Kingdom has officially commenced the process of selecting a new “Otota” as Ovie-In-Council presented a letter to the most senior Inohwa,High Chief Akpeni Edafeghwara Jp to take a written application with CV from interested persons within the Udurhie Ruling House,for the vacant office of the Ototaship.
The letter which was addressed to Chief Akpeni Edafeghwara,was presented to him by the secretary to Ovie-In-Council,Chief Silver Anuwa at his residence today Monday 3rd October,2022.
Speaking during the presentation,Chief Silver Anuwa said that Ovie-In-Council under the leadership of HRM. Sunday Odogu Okpurhe, Uduaka 1, Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom,has mandated him to officially present the letter to Chief Akpeni Edafeghwara who is the most senior Inohwa in the Udurhie Ruling House, to commence the process of selecting the Ototaship,just the way it was done during the Ovieship.
Chief Silver affirmed that by the virtue of the letter, Chief Akpeni is hereby mandated to take application from interested persons in the Udurhie Ruling House within the shortest possible time and forward to Ovie-In-Council,for necessary selection and screening as enshrined in the gazette.
Receiving the letter on behalf of Udurhie Ruling House,Chief Akpeni appreciated Ovie-In-Council under the administration of HRM. Sunday Odogu Okpurhe, Uduaka 1, Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom for the prompt commencement of the process,to select a new Otota.
Chief Akpeni Edafeghwara promised to deliver under the term of reference for the betterment and progress of Mosogar Kingdom.
The office of the Ototaship became vacant after Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP stepped down inline with the gazette, since the Uduaka Ruling House has produced the Ovieship.
The letter was presented to Chief Akpeni in the presence of Chief Oghenedoro America, Chief Benard Abinoko, Chief Peter Avwojekpaye,Chief Omonigho Ojokor,Chief Conference Friday and Chief Richard Ojagbon.
