Odunayo Adekuroye and Blessing Oborududu have successfully defended their crown in the wrestling event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Adekuroye defeated India’s Anshu Malik 7-3 to win a Gold medal in the 57kg category.
The Ondo-born wrestler has never lost a wrestling match at the Commonwealth Games, since she won her first title in 2014.
Another talented wrestler, Oborududu defeated Canada’s Linda Morais 5-1 to win a Gold medal in the 68kg category.
Oborududu also emerged top in the same category four years ago in Gold Coast, Australia.
In the Women’s Freestyle 62kg category, Esther Kolawole claimed a bronze medal after dispatching his Canadian opponent, Abbie Fountain.
