KINGSHIP: CORONATION IN VIEW AS OVIE-IN-COUNCIL PRESENT OVIE-ELECT,HRM OKPURHE TO OGUEDION COUNCIL OF CHIEFS AND ELDERS

In continuation of the process leading to the successful crowning of a new king in Mosogar Kingdom,the Ovie-In-Council under the able leadership of the “Otota” Traditional Prime Minister,Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP held an enlarged meeting today 16th July 2022 at the Main Palace, Mosogar Town, Ethiope West LGA of Delta State.

The meeting witnessed the attendance of all the various organs of administration in Mosogar Kingdom which comprises of Ovie-In-Council, Oguedion Council of Chiefs and Elders, Mosogar Development Union (MDU),Eghweyas,Inotus and Youth body (Ighele)

The aim of today’s meeting was the official presentation of report of the selection and screening committees to “Orho” Oguedion Council of Chiefs and elders,inline of the gazette guiding the process of crowning a new Ovieship in Mosogar Kingdom.

Presenting the report by the secretary of the committee,Chief Festus Obolokor, the screening committee affirmed the earlier report of the selection committee,which saw the emergence of Chief Sunday Odogu Okpurhe as “Ovie Elect” of Mosogar Kingdom.

Recalled that few weeks ago,the selection committee presented to Ovie-In-Council,Chief Sunday Odogu Okpurhe as Ovie Elect,after the other aspirants for the Ovieship stepped down in the spirit of unity,oneness and progress in Mosogar Kingdom.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP appreciated everyone for the sacrificed and strong commitment towards ensuring the smooth crowing of the Ovieship of Mosogar Kingdom.

Speaking during the meeting,HRM Sunday Odogu Okpurhe “Uduaka 1st” appreciated the kingdom for accepting him.He expressed his sincere gratitudes to the entire kingdom,for standing by him since the beginning of the process till date.He further assured the entire kingdom that his emergence as the Ovie Elect,is not for him to feel pompous but to work for the betterment and growth of Mosogar Kingdom.

Highlight of the event was the official presentation of the Ovie Elect,HRM Sunday Odogu Okpurhe “Uduaka 1st”
kingdom after his general acceptability as the new Ovie Elect, inline with the gazette guiding the process of crowning new Ovieship in Mosogar Kingdom.

Date for Coronation of the Ovie Elect will be announced once all the other processes have been duly completed.
