It has become very difficult for me to support any choice Gubernatorial aspirant ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Primary Election in Delta State.
As we all Know,I worked very closely with a leader, who is the National Chairman of DC-23 and elected as the party Senatorial candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District,Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP.
As a leader of DC-23,Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP made it known to everyone particularly aspirants who are from Urhobo Nation (Delta Central)that he will maintain neutrality in the selection of Who become the consensus Governorship aspirant from Delta Central.
He kept his word by not influencing the Screening Panel/Committee that carried out the screening of all Aspirants from Delta Central Senatorial District to the last three.Although, those who were not shortlisted decided to continue with their ambition, inline with their fundamental right of voting and being voted for as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Thus,it will be logically wrong to support or project a particular Governorship aspirant, knowing fully well that I am working with a man who is the National Chairman of DC-23.
This is the reason why I decided not to support or project any of the Aspirant within Urhobo Nation.
My greatest interest is to have an Urhobo man emerging from the PDP Governorship Primary Election who will succeed His Excellency Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa (Governor of Delta State) come 2023, according to the primary objective of Delta Central 2023(DC-23).
Hope to work with any of the Aspirant who emerge as the Governorship candidate in the interest of our party and Deltans.
However, Urhobo Nation should play the game wisely going into the field with the unpalatable numbers of Aspirants to secured the chances of Urhobo emergence.
I wish all the Governorship Aspirants from Delta Central Senatorial District all the very best tomorrow.
