For sometime now, I have come to realise that once Grace has spoken, every other attempts to truncate it will only discharge its potency in a miscarriage manner. It can only happen like a wind that comes with no storm or rains. I make bold to say that what I see these days is ungbikuably harvesting great things that will promote the potency of the ever vibrant Urhobo Nation. In days ahead, Sen Ighoyota Amori and the project to rescue the Urhobo Nation from the woods would go into strategic stage to cross every “t” and dot the “i” associated with political calculations in the coming months.
Elegbete, High Chief Moses Odibo once said during our consultation visit to Udu LGA Leaders & Elders Council that the work ahead for the Urhobo Nation requires a first eleven candidate to handle, of which Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori is perfectly fit for the duty as Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. But not to be liken to a football match played by Warri Wolf, neither is it a tea party. The tasks of uniting the Urhobo Nation to stand clearly in its 5th position in the country would rest squarely on the shoulders of whoever becomes the Senator of the 10th Assembly from Delta Central, because any attempt to think or act otherwise would amount to placing Urhobo in a battered and ambiguous ratio of waging war, war and war against itself and result of which would be catastrophic to the advancement of the Urhobo Nation. At such circumstance therefore, aligning with the numeric number 5th to which we unarguably occupied in the National ratings of Housa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw and Urhobo will become history.
As a matter of fact, we only pretend to accept No 5th position, otherwise under normal circumstances, if properly rated, Urhobo would stand a better chance of beating any of the numeric number between 1st and 4th.
You can see that Chief Amori’s rescue mission is truly OHWOFASA. It has not come to money, but from the look of things, money should not be a major obstacle because quite a number of wealthy followers and admirers of Chief Amori have called it “a do-or-die project.” so no amount of wealth from any individual or group of persons working against this dream can stand the test of time.
The obstacles we have today rests in the shoulders of our youths that would not understand enormity of this assignment and how the Elders Stateman would work assiduously to remedy the already battered image of this country. As a player in national political spheres, Chief Ighoyota Amiri’s contribution in the coming years would place the Urhobo Nation in furtherance of where our National Leader, His Excellency, Chief James Onanefe Ibori had deposited it in the world map. Therefore, the people of Delta Central cannot afford to go by experimental trial by error because we may come out more injured than we have been as a nation.
Chief Amori, irrespective of the fact that he Wasn’t contesting for the 2023 Governorship election in the state, had mobilised resources and people of like minds to move round the 25 local government Areas of Delta State and had meaningful deliberations with chieftain of the PDP, Traditional Rulers, and other major stakeholders around the entire state on the position of Urhobo people in the 2023 Gubernatorial race.
The forthcoming Governorship is the turn of Delta Central to field candidate because the rotation is based on Senatorial District because of the understanding of our founding fathers of PDP in Delta State of which Chief Amori is one of them. Everyone saw the great work the DC-23 did, and this was championed by Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori, The National Chairman of the body. This has yielded positive results as can be seen that the three front line aspirants recommended by DC-23 have the Ijaws dotting their consultation team that is presently moving from local government to local government in the state.
It will be nice therefore that having done all these to save Urhobo from embarrassments, it will only be better to agree that one good turn, deserved a reward. Therefore, I call on all, particularly those contesting this position with Chief Amori to have a rethink for the Otota of Mosogar Kingdom to be Returned-unopposed.
It is for all our interests in this circumstance that we all wholeheartedly support Chief Amori physically, spiritually and otherwise.
As for the delegates who are warming up to deliver Chief Amori on May 14th, I can assure you that your desires to have the best will never be in vain in Jesus Name Amen.
Chief Duncan Ewhere,
Oghara Delta State.
