The biblical account of how Judas Iscariot betrayed his master Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible, according to the book of Matthew 26:14-15 by selling him for thirty pieces of silver is a pointer that betrayal have long existed in our contemporary world.Judas Iscariot a key team player among the twelve disciples of Jesus, was the finance officer to Jesus but due to greed and uncontrollable quest for money,he sold his master for peanut and used common kiss showing love in disguised to enable the enemies identified him.
However,to cut the long story short,we all knew the end of Judas Iscariot. He hanged himself due to the inability to curtain his shameful act, betraying the son of man.
This is a great moral for everyone, particularly those planning to betray their master, leader and a man who showed them way through which they are seeing themselves as leaders to control leaders in the party.
Prior the swearing-in of His Excellency,Chief James Onanefe Ibori as civilian democratically elected Governor of Delta State in 1999,many of the present politicians, who are now claiming self-made leaders warming up to fight Chief James Onanefe Ibori, were no where to be found.Chief James Onanefe Ibori and other few founders of the party as at then, laboured and work tirelessly to build the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, making the party to be the only visible party in Delta State.
Chief James Onanefe Ibori whose leadership philosophy, tenacity and charisma was centralized and anchored on peace to make sure the state is governable through inclusiveness, ensured every senatorial district in the state have a taste of Governor through his strategic power rotation ideology, even though the Urhobo of Delta Central have all it takes to retain the governorship seat of the state. This is the reason Delta State have remained one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria.
Today, many people who were called to come and eat particularly in Delta Central are warming up to oppose H.E Chief James Onanefe Ibori whom God used to polished and shine their lives. This is an act of gross disloyalty to party supremacy,a national leader and man who sacrificed his freedom in the midst of the political turbulence of the state, before God vindicated and kept him alive to enjoy his peace and freedom.
The strong hatred by enemies of common good and Urhobo Nation must be resisted, those using all manners of derogatory comments and statements against Chief James Onanefe Ibori should not forget that the man who made the pot, have right to also destroy it.
It is obvious many of these self-claimed leaders who are working tirelessly to ensure they remove Chief Ibori from politics,a feat they couldn’t achieve even while he was not in the state, would send themselves to political oblivion and sweep by the political tsunami of the resolved and determined people of Delta Central come 2023, who are solidly behind the National leader and political eye opener in Delta State.
Additionally, those who are on the mission to measure sandal, shoulder and weight with His Excellency Chief James Onanefe Ibori after all he has done for them and the state, should get ready to face the wrath of the resolved patriotic people of Delta Central, who are ready to stand behind their National leader.
“Oga na Oga”stop the pride and never forget the good old days in which the leader you are trying to betray,disgrace-which-will-definitely-backfire, was the only saving grace to your lather of elevation that took you to where you are”
Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chief James Ibori served as governor at the same time,Tinubu is galavanting everywhere to be president while Urhobo ungrateful set of politicians are frustrating their own.
