It was a home coming as two illustrious sons of Urhobo Nation,who are in the forefront of driving the Urhobo project in the past few decades,His Excellency Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori JP visited Urhobo Traditional Rulers to formally seek their blessings towards the success of the “OHWOFASA” project and strong voice to represent Delta Central at the upper legislative House (Senate) come 2023 at the Royal Palace of Chairman of the Royal Fathers from the Urhobo extraction,HRM. Richard Layeguen Ogbon (Jp),Ogoni-Ogbon1,The Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom in Olomu Kingdom,Ughelli South LGA,Delta State.
The world class Monarchs who were elated upon receiving the two great leaders who have indeed made Urhobo Nation proud,never hide their warm expression and joy,as the traditional custodians of the fifth ethnic group in Nigeria.
Chief James Onanefe Ibori who is the leader of the “Ohwofasa 2023” Delta Central Senatorial Bid of Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori,a political titan in Delta State, presented Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori to the Royal fathers as the most experience, reliable,tested and trusted to give Urhobo Nation “Strong Voice” legislative representation at the Nigerian Senate come 2023.
Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori speaking during the visit,promised to do more for Urhobo Nation if elected as the next Senator to represent the district, having served diligently over the years.He said,his Voice will resonate across the National Assembly to pave way for every Urhobo sons and daughters,while he is strategically working assiduously in ensuring the whole Central Delta territories witness massive total transformation interms of human and capital development and advancement.
Highlight of the visit,was the offering of “one voice” prayer of accord by the 19 Royal fathers who were present to Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori to go and be a “Strong Voice” to Urhobo Nation in the National Assembly come 2023.
Thereafter,the consultation train moved to the Residence of Chief Moses Taiga,the President General of Urhobo Progress Union at Olomu Kingdom,Ughelli South LGA of Delta State,where Chief Amori also formally declared and seek the support of the pan Urhobo group leader.
Chief James Ibori, who also presented Sen. Chief Ighoyota Amori to Chief Moses Taiga, as his candidate.He opined that Chief Amori has done marvelously well in fighting a just course for Urhobo Nation,while he noted that Amori is most capable,well articulated and best qualified to represent the fifth largest Ethnic group in Senate considering his pedigree and past antecedents.
Chief Moses Taiga who warmly received the leaders and the entourage,believed Chief James Ibori has made the wisest decision by endorsing the best and most qualified man for the job of the Senate.He promised to key into the vision of the Odidigboigbo of the universe,who knows better as a strong stakeholder in the politics of Delta Central.He further affirmed and stamped the endorsement of Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori,for the OHWOFASA 2023 Project as UPU candidate.
