In continuation of the already completed massive storm drainage projects in Owanta, Okwu-Nzu and Obomkpa communities by the Delta state government in partnership with NEWMAP, additional construction has commenced in Owanta Community
Speaking to newsmen during an inspection tour of the ongoing project earlier today, the Delta state Commissioner For Environment, Chris Onogba said the aim of this project is to strengthen the intergrity of the already completed massive drains to further cushion the effect of gully erosion in the community
Engr. Ghassan Fadel of the Levant Construction Company further stated that the project consists of a 1.3km Road, 2km drain and filling of about 600m gully with 50 percent of work already done, it would be completed and delivered in no time
