Oghara Political Network,a political pressure group based in Oghara,paid a 3-In-1 visit to Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP,on Friday 28th January,2022 in his Mosogar Country home, Ethiope West LGA of Delta State.
The Director General (DG) of Oghara Political Network,Chief Duncan Ewhere who led the group, opined that the visit was to formally condole with the “Otota” Traditional Prime Minister of Mosogar Kingdom,Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori and the good people of Mosogar Kingdom,over the demise of HRM Samson Okiriobo Imoyi Omene, Urhie1,The Ovie of Mosogar Kingdom.
He further highlighted that the visit was also to thank Chief Amori over the recent appointment of two members of Oghara Political Network; including him the DG,Chief Duncan Ewhere and Princess Philomena Ededey,on national assignment to serve as Chairman and member of Electoral Committee in far away Jos, Plateau State.He said OPN is indebted to Chief Amori for the warm recognition and the appointment evenly spread to Oghara,Jesse, Mosogar,Sapele,and Delta North within the short period of him serving as the Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chief Duncan Ewhere in the warm political atmosphere, hinted that the third reasons of their visit,was to formally pledge their unwavering support towards Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP aspiration, particularly in the Senate,Delta Central Senatorial District.He noted that,Chief Amori has distinguished himself through hard-working and commitment to serving the people over the years.He further told the gathering that OPN have endorsed Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori JP as their candidate for the Senate,due to his past antecedents and pedigree,in ensuring everyone benefited from his leadership and they will do everything possible to support him in every areas when the campaign formally start.
Chief Amori responding to all the reasons for the visit, appreciated OPN for coming to commiserate and sympathized with Mosogar Kingdom,over the demise of their reverend Monarch.He noted that death is inevitable,but when it happened,is always painful and one should be grateful seeing people coming to mourn and condole with him.
Speaking further,Chief Amori said whatever efforts him and H.E Chief James Onanefe Ibori have brought to the people,interms of development was by the grace of God.He said who thought Chief James Onanefe Ibori could become a Governor some day in Delta State and who thought him will rise from Councillor level,to the level and height God has brought him?
“It was grace of God who took us to this very height and I see every act of service to mankind as grace of God”
“When we started,there was no visible development, Ethiope West LGA was backward,due to the ugly path, uncivilization kept us.We were left behind,but God used Chief James Onanefe Ibori and I to build all what we are seeing today”
“I never regret when people speak and used all manner of evil words against me,I know these are what you face,when you resolved to serve the people.When I came,there was only one Secondary School in Mosogar.Today,there are over eight (8) government secondary schools,higher institutions, University of Benin,Delta State University and University of Portharcourt all in affiliation with College of Education Mosogar,where you can easily do your degree”
“People are abusing me on daily basis on social media,because of Mosogar light,we have made alot of efforts,and the issue of the light is between the contractor and BEDC.The last contract that was awarded,I gave the contractor ten million Naira (N10M) and uptill today,no light.I have told the Governor,to tell the contractor and BEDC to bring Mosogar light.If it was money,we have spent money and I think the light goes beyond money.Today,the whole Mosogar Kingdom is not in darkness as been insinuated on social media.It was only Mosogar main town,which is a section of Mosogar Ward 1,that is without light for now and by the grace of God,light will come soon”
“I am never a failure,because I did my best in serving my people and there is no way,I will be in position that my presence wouldn’t be felt.We started from grassroot,breaks into Ethiope West,Delta State and now,we are moving into Abuja.Urhobo presence must be felt in Abuja and we are going there to establish ourselves as a people”
Making pronouncement on his Senatorial ambition,he said “we are moving to Abuja,but I am yet to formally declared”
Highlight of the event,was the presentation of undisclosed gift to Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP by the Director General of Oghara Political Network (OPN),Chief Duncan Ewhere on behalf of the group.
