Urhobo Elites,made up of professors, PhD holders, Engineers, lecturers, medical Doctors, teachers and students of urhobo extraction,has given a 21-days ultimatum to Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP,to openly declare to run for Senate, representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly come 2023.
In a communique signed by the National Chairman,Prof. (Chief) Akpo Oghene and made available to newsmen,the reverend group called on Chief Amori to declare,so as to save himself the embarrassment of seeing massive mobilization and campaign,while he is yet to formally joined the political ring of Representing Delta Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber.
They passed a vote of confidence on Chief Amori leadership in Championing the Urhobo project and dream, taking her rightful place as the 5th largest ethnic group in Nigeria.
Accordingly,the group noted that failure to declare,they would go ahead with their campaign for Chief Sen. Ighoyota Amori and purchase the Senatorial nomination form on his behalf.
“Urhobo Elites has handled down 21 day ultimatum to chief sen. Ighoyota Amori to come out and declare openly for the position of senate for Delta central in 2023.
This is the resolved of all Urhobos that enough is enough. Urhobo as the 5th largest tribe in Nigeria must take is rightful place at the center seat of power come 2023.
We don’t need an errand boy this time around.
This ultimatum is to save our highly reverend leader of the embarrassment of kick starting our mass mobilization without his consent. A stitch in time saves nine”
