DC-23, the Delta Central political lobby group pushing for a Delta Central Governor come 2023, hit the ground running at the wake of 2022 as the Group made their first consultative meeting to Ndokwa-West LGA and Ukwuani LGA on Friday, January 7th.
The visit to Ndokwa-West took place at the residence of the distinguish Senator Patrick Osakwe’s residence in Asaba where Chief Senator Ighoyota Amori, the National Chairman of DC-23 made the group intention and purpose clear to the Ndokwa-West leaders.
Senator Patrick Osakwe in his response and prayer for the group urged the Urhobo people to be fair and not deceived themselves. In other words, Osakwe pointed out that the choice of Delta Central gubernatorial candidate is key in success of their quest.
The train later moved from Asaba to Obiaruku, specifically to the Very Rev. Okolugbo Hall where the leaders and people of Ukwuani were already waiting to receive the group.
Amongst the Ukwuani Chieftains present during the visit to receive the delegation of the DC-23 is the LGA Party Chairman; Engr. Patrick Kaine, the Commissioner for Finance; Sir Okenmor Fidelis Tilije, Former Commissioner DESOPADEC; Hon Ken Okolugbo, Chief Terry Otuya, and a host of other notable leaders.
The DC-23 members all cladded in the Urhobo native attires arrived Ukwuani on time as the meeting was scheduled to start by 3pm. Chief Senator Ighoyota Amori again in his command and suave style of addressing his audience, presented the the DC-23 mandate and asked for the unwavering support of the Ukwuani people.
On their part. The leaders accepted to work with the Delta Central at the due time citing their neighbourliness and closeness to the Urhobo people. They asked that the Urhobo nation should solidly support Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to finish strong first. They made it clear that the success of Okowa’s administration is what would give birth to better successor.
The meeting ended in prayers and everyone departed after a photo session.
