OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR IFEANYI ARTHUR OKOWA ON THE PROTRACTED DARKNESS IN MOSOGAR TOWNSHIP

Good day your Excellency,

It is my pleasure once again to write you through this medium, that is best available to me and I do hope your attention would be drawn to this letter.

Firstly, I commend your visionary leadership as the Governor of our dear state and all the love you have demonstrated to Mosogar Kingdom and Deltans since the commencement of this administration in 2015 till date.

However your Excellency,I want to draw your attention towards the protracted darkness in Mosogar township,which I am also awared of your unrelenting efforts and that of our leaders over the years in pulling the town from total darkness.Mostly,the recent one,where by you awarded the “power project” to a contractor,but the contractor disappeared,since the two pieces of 2.5KVA transformers he procured as stated in the contract failed.

Your Excellency,if the issue of Mosogar light is not properly address and fix as soon as possible,I am afraid, it will lead to anarchy as the people are already on the verge of revolting due to the frustration of living in darkness for over 7years now and this will rob our great party all political fortunes accrued from 100/100 block votes which Mosogar Kingdom contributed to the party every electioneering period,being one of the strongest kingdoms and home of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Furthermore your Excellency,I believe strongly in your leadership and I suggest you set-up committee to review the reasons why all previous efforts of our leaders from Mosogar Kingdom and that of the state government on the light had failed,so as to ascertained the best way the issue of the power failure can be addressed,in the common interest of the people.

According to my findings your Excellency, residents in Mosogar Kingdom have spent over ten billion naira (N10,000,000,000) on fuel consumption over the last 7years of darkness and this amount could have been channel into ventures to improve the livelihood of the people.

Additionally,the darkness have affected the educational performance of children in Mosogar Kingdom,making them not to study at night and also have access to modern educational facilities like computers, television e.t.c which required electricity for power or function.

Conclusively, Mosogar Kingdom would be indebted to you,if the issue of the protracted darkness is solve once and for all your Excellency,as we all hope to see this happening before the end of this year 2021.
