I have read through the public comments on all my previous publications calling on the federal government to grant one of the best Governor Nigeria has ever produced in history,His Excellency Chief James Onanefe Ibori “Odidigboigbo” of Africa, who was the governor of Delta State between 1999-2007 on two term basis, pardon so as to accord him the opportunity and Civic right, being a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to join the presidential race come 2023.
Having carefully analysed the public perceptions on the astute leader,it is pertinent to state here, that in the public estate, everyone is entitled to his/her opinions.
Having an opposing views on issues of National importance, doesn’t make anyone automatically corrupt as a person, but shows the extent he/she is willing to argued his case in the alter of public estate.
Nigeria as a nation is a failed state which has breeded alot of corrupt leaders from the military era, to the present day democracy and it is erroneous and unjustly to crucified just one man,due to his political sagacity, tenacity and pushing for resources control in the Niger Delta.
I maintain my stand, that Chief Ibori suffered political persecution because he stood against injustice and fought for his people in the Niger Delta.
Today,he endured the ordeal and has come out of all the harassment and embarrassment,so he deserved the very best from the Nigerian Government, who surreptitiously marked oppositions as being corrupt.
I am very sure, that if H.E Ibori was in the ruling APC in the country,he would have been granted pardon. So must we all join APC before getting Justice ?
Finally,H.E Ibori is love by his people,go and take the survey yourself. You will see that, among 10 Deltans,9 loves him.
His Excellency Chief Ibori needs pardon,so that he can join the presidential race come 2023 and I will keep pushing until the federal government yield to my request.
