The Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State,Rt. Hon(Pastor) Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso has called on investors all over the world to invest in the local council agricultural sector.
Hon.Owoso made the call at the ongoing Nigeria at 61 Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Exhibition,that is ongoing in Abuja.
Hon.Owoso in an interview with the press, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the Honourable Minister for Industries,Trade and Investment,Otunba Richard Adeniyi and Chairman,Ownership sub committee Nigeria @61 for bringing together all 774 Local Government Administrations and the FCT Area councils and related stakeholders involved with grass roots governance,to address the need for fast tracking and stimulating the rural economic development based on heightened agricultural and agro-allied industrial activity at the third tier of governance.
Hon. Owoso also thanked Delta State Governor, His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for given him the opportunity to put Ethiope West on the map on what they are known for on agricultural production.
He further emphasized excellently on the needs for federal government to create more opportunities and supports to farmers for effective and healthy farming.
Marketing Ethiope West LGA,Hon Owoso said the local government has arable land,which has not been effectively utilized.
Speakings further,he said the local government has done very well in creating the enabling environment that will guarantee the security and Investment of both Nigerians and foreign investors.
