The National Chairman of Delta Central 2023,a lobby political pressure group known as DC-23,High Chief Sen Ighoyota Amori JP has said that he is “More Concerned On Urhobo Governor Come 2023,than concentrating energy on things that divides us as a people”.
Chief Amori speaking in reaction to some issues across Urhobo Nation,state and Nigeria during the victory Thanksgiving/Child Dedication of Rt.Hon. Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso (Executive Chairman of Ethiope West LGA)at the weekend in Jesse town,said actualizing the primary goal of DC-23 in ensuring an Urhobo man/woman emerged as the next governor of Delta State,is his major focus.He said the Urhobo Governorship project,is something that demand total commitment from every sons and daughters of Urhobo Nation of Delta Central,in reaching out to other Senatorial districts,to preach the message of equity, fairness and justice in the state.
The political titan in Delta State,Chief Amori warned against creating and forming pressure groups,that doesn’t support the interest of Urhobos in producing next governor,as he called on Deltans to embrace the message of DC-23,which is a message of “Equity” across the state, knowing fully well that we have all come along way,in the task of building the state.
Chief Amori further tasked Urhobos in Delta Central and all over the world,to shun politics of divisiveness,hatred and campaign to tarnish image of any Urhobo sons and daughters who are eligible to stand in for election.He said “Unity is strength and so therefore,we must all ride on the power of unity and not be swayed on things that divides us”
Speaking further,Chief Amori said he is confident that His Excellency Sen Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the entire Peoples Democratic Party structure in the state and Deltans, will-in-the spirit of fairness, allowed Delta Central to have the party’s gubernatorial ticket.
Chief Amori also used the medium to Congratulates Rt.Hon Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso and his family over the new baby boy gifted the number one family in the council and his electoral victory in the local government.He also extended congratulations to the PDP family in Delta State, particularly the good people of Isoko Constituency 1,over the party’s victory in the last Saturday’s State House of Assembly Bye Election.
