“As we mark 24years of uninterrupted democracy in our dear Nation, efforts should be geared towards the review of the 1999 Constitution to addressed the current challenges in our Nation and promote good governance.
The 1999 Constitution has failed the Nigeria state,by concentrating power on the center and favouring a section of the country. This is the genesis of where we are today, whereby every regions are agitating to exit the country.
The Constitution Review Committee headed by our brother,Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege should look into issues raised in the East,South,West, and Middle belt to provide lasting solution to the growing agitations,if not,one day we will wake up and find out Nigeria is no more.
Finally,I Congratulate Nigerians on this year Democracy Day,because the worst Democratic Government is better than the Best Military Government”.Chief Amori said.
