DAY 7: PRESIDENT GENERAL OF URHOBO KINGDOMS JOINS MOSOGAR DEVELOPMENT UNION TO BID FAREWELL TO MONARCH

President General of the various kingdoms in Urhobo Nation have joined Mosogar Development Union (MDU) to bid farewell to HRM Samson Okirhioboh Imoyin-Omene,Ovie of Mosoagar Kingdom.

The presidents were warmly received at the Palace by Mosogar Development Union today 15th April,2022.

Speaking during the ceremony which was scheduled as part of the 21-days Rites of Passage of His Majesty,Chief Pius A. Omubaye appealed to Mosogar Kingdom not to cry again.He noted that though it is sad about the demise of our Monarch,death is inevitable,a call everyone will answer one day.He further advised Mosogar Kingdom to observe and perform every rites which must be observed at the demise of a king according to customs and traditions.

The Home base-body of Mosogar Development Union and some of the branches were fully represented during today’s ceremony.

In attendance includes; Chief Pius A.Omubaye,Jp(President General Ughelli Descendants Union),Chief Wilson Umukoro (President General Aravwarien Kingdom),
Hon. Chief Vincent Igho Atumah (Oghara President General) and Chief Eferoghara Akoba (Member Oghara Traditional Council and Cabinet of Iyasare).

Warri MDU Branch; Mrs. Eyekosi Omene,Mr. Moses Osayende, Fredrick Omene,Mr. Akindor Ugbuhwe (Interim President MDU-Warri),Mr. Emmanuel Ekwevugbe,Mr. Aghoghovwia Agboma,Mr. Josiah Onoje and Mr. Henry Ojarigho.

Lagos Branch: Chief Richard Edidjana (Branch President),Mr. Desmond Okotie (PRO) and Comr. Ovie Bethel (Secretary)

Portharcut Branch was represented by Engr.Anthony Akporokah and Mr. Adagba Evesi represented Benin Branch.

Shortly after the closing of the ceremony,Chief Col. Ogheneovo C. Akporokah hosted Mosogar Development Union including all Branches in his Private Residence.
