THE PLIGHT OF MY HOMELAND….MOSOGAR.

As a son of the land, I will rightly tell my fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, elders and all, both at home and abroad; that we are the architect of our present predicament and suffering in the land. WE HAVE FAILED TO LIVE AS ONE BROTHER AND SISTER. Everyone to his/her own way.

WHEREVER THERE IS DISUNITY THERE IS SUFFERING.

It is a blow and show of shame that among the three(3) major kingdom/community in Ethiope West local government, MOSOGAR KINGDOM is wallowing in pain and suffering.

We should not assigned blamed to any GOVERNMENT at any level. Since we have fail to come together as one to seek solution to our problems.
The governance at the state have been under one political party PDP of which MOSOGAR have pledged alliance and support. So what is duly ours is been given to us to an extent. Nothing changes there.

LET US SEE FOR OURSELVES.

  1. EDUCATION.

In the time past, MOSOGAR was well know for academic excellence, disciplines and hard work. The only school founded in 1980- MOSOGAR SECONDARY SCHOOL was able to cater for large group of learners.
But today with the presence of good number of secondary schools in the kingdom, education is hitting the rock here.
There is no zeal for handwork in term of education. No MOSOGAR son and Daughter is of encouragement in helping to show or support that HARDWORK in education pays.
NO SCHOLARSHIP OR SUPPORT FROM WELL MEANING MOSOGAR SONS AND DAUGHTERS.
The infrastructure and learning equipment is a mirage.
It hurt me so much when I see where our younger one is been taught in the name of schooling in MOSOGAR.
We see school building been abandoned, and some been renovated with SUBSTANDARD material.

The COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, MOSOGAR is battling between LIFE and DEATH. She can boast of 100 students of her own. Those who been charge with the school management and administration is busy sand filling their stomach with the allocated money from government and other bodies. WE ARE SILENT.

  1. ROAD.
There is no standard road with good lightening facilities, flowers or drainage system to show there are PEOPLE living here.
  2. HEALTH ISSUE.
The state of health vis-à-vis health facilities and equipment we are been sidelined and pocket.
There are ALREADY BUILT HEALTH CENTRE in UGBAKELE and UGBOKPA but they are not functioning.
  3. ELECTRICITY.
I grew up to hear my late father fighting championing the electrification of our village. And MOSOGAR was with 24/7 power supply. But the issue of MOSOGAR LIGHT have become a CANCER we are fighting with, and its defeating us . We lived in DARKNESS.
  4. PIPE BORNE WATER.
Some years back I remember vividly, how people gladly go and fetched water from tap nearest to them in MOSOGAR, but now it is a story of the past.
  5. EMPLOYMENT:
After the many years of schooling, struggle, studied and learning, there is NO SINGLE building where able- bodied men and women be fully engage.
  6. SECURITY OF LIFE AND PROPERTIES
Living in MOSOGAR as at now is only by the mercy of God who guide and protect all being. Our farmland is been invaded by CATTLE REARERS, and agricultural produced have decline resulting in hunger and malnutrition.
  7. PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE And OTHER SOCIAL AMENITIES.
More than year now the contract handling the pedestrian bridge have fly into the thin air and he is not at sight, why similar project is nearly completion in OGHARA.
There were CASSAVA AND OIL PROCESSING infrastructure and equipment all buried and forgotten.
  8. MOSOGAR CENTRAL MOTOR PARK.
The central motor park built is dead and forgotten.
  9. SKILL ACQUISITION CENTRE.
    Dead and forgotten.

IF WE CONTINUED TO LIVED LIKE THIS, MOSOGAR WILL BE 50YEARS BACKWARD.

LET COME TOGETHER AND REASON THE MATTER.💓💓💓🙏🙏🙏

We should forget our differences.
